Dr. Nicole Schiff received her Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from UC Davis in 1997, and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2002. She has worked at several veterinary hospitals in Los Angeles and here in the South Bay practicing general medicine and surgery.
Dr. Schiff’s fascination with acupuncture started as a teenager when her horse’s unexplained lameness improved significantly after treatment. Shortly after graduating from veterinary school her own dog was diagnosed with epilepsy and benefited immensely from acupuncture treatments. This inspired her to pursue an understanding of how acupuncture can complement more traditional western therapies. In 2008 she completed a certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture from
Colorado State University. Dr. Schiff enjoys integrating acupuncture with other treatment modalities and has lectured at veterinary meetings on the scientific basis of acupuncture.
Dr. Nicole Schiff is also dedicated to working with several Los Angeles-based non-profit groups that work to alleviate pet overpopulation. She grew up in the South Bay and now lives here with her husband Dan, her three children, and their beloved dog Einstein.
